It is possible that restrictions may still be in place in July for travel between countries affected by the COVID-19 virus. While we are hopeful that situation will be resolved in the months between now and the conference, delegates should liaise with their own university / business travel managers to consider what effect this may have on their plans and how best to mitigate risks of travel disruption.
Arriving in to Manchester Airport
We envisage that most people traveling by air will arrive into Manchester International Airport (MAN). From there there is a direct train to Liverpool Lime Street though some will require a change in Manchester City Centre (at the same station). The first train is 05:07 and the last train is at 22:49 on weekdays. Booking in advance can often save money but may restrict you to a specific time of train. You can also buy tickets at the station using the ticket kiosk or ticket machines.
Trainline.com is a reputable website for booking tickets. Click the next link to visit their website - trains from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Lime St. Use the maps below to plan your journey.
Arriving in to Liverpool Airport
If arriving into Liverpool by air you can get a taxi from the airport into the city centre ~20-30 mins or get a bus to Liverpool South Parkway then a train into Liverpool city centre.
Whichever route you take, once you arrive in to Liverpool Lime St you can take a black cab or walk to your hotel. The convention centre is ~20 minutes walk away so your accommodation is likely to be no further away than this.
