Paper submission is through the ISBS paper repository with a completed paper template. Click the link to get to the repository then Submit Paper on the left menu. You may need to create an account if you are not already registered on this system.

 

Submitted papers cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or digital). All papers must be prepared strictly according to the guidelines, and submitted as a Word document using the ISBS submission template above. If required, we encourage early re-submission to ensure accurate and prompt review and confirmation.

 

Papers are up to 4 pages which may count as a publication type in certain countries. Each paper shall be:

 

  • Peer reviewed by two independent reviewers
  • Presented at the 2020 conference
  • Published in the Conference Proceedings

 

 

New Investigator Award (NIA)

 

The purpose of the New Investigator Award (NIA) is to recognize new researchers and to encourage them to become productive members of ISBS. The deadline for the NIA is the 21st January 2020 (no extension). The full details and criteria are available on the ISBS website. The applicant must be a member of ISBS.

 

The applicant must indicate that they would like to be considered for the NIA when they submit their conference paper. The applicant must also send their supporting documents (evidence of current enrolment or graduation) to the VP of Awards by the closing date for paper submission.

 

 

Hans Gros Emerging Researcher Award

 

The 'Hans Gros Emerging Researcher Award' recognizes excellence in early career research. The deadline for this award is the 31st January 2020. The full details and criteria are available on the ISBS website. The applicant must be a full member of ISBS.

 

This prestigious award is given annually to an individual who has excelled in their early research career (2-5 years) and has embodied the ISBS philosophy of applied science and 'bridging the gap'. The winner is invited to present his/her research in a keynote lecture at the ISBS annual conference.
